Come relax with us
at the Oregon Lavender Festival July 13 - 14, 2013
Plan to join us at the Oregon Lavender Festival to enjoy the Pacific NW countryside at its fragrant best. Dozens of different lavender destinations throw their doors open to the public so that visitors can experience Lavender in Oregon and Washington firsthand by touring lavender farms, lavender nurseries, and lavender celebrations of all kinds. Expect to Relax!
For a day or two, leave the world of hustle and bustle, computers, and chaos to soak in the delights lavender has to offer. Sometimes simply standing in the midst of a lavender field with its overwhelming beauty and aroma can be medicine enough to restore calm and recharge your spirit.
Tour Lavender Locations, each with its own selection of different varieties of lavender, and each with its own activities arranged for the festival. At lavender farms, you can cut your own bouquets of fresh lavender; at nurseries, you can purchase specialty lavender plants and speak to experts on growing and cultivating lavender. Each location has special events planned for the festival weekend, so be sure to click on the destinations tour page to see what each lavender location has to offer.
Lavender Art In weeks prior to the festival,
plein air artists will capture colorful local fields on canvas and display
their art during the festival at a juried art show and sale in Beulah
Park in Yamhill. For more information, visit the Paint
Lavender Photography Each year, the Oregon Lavender Association invites photographers to capture the magic of lavender in Oregon. Entries are displayed at the Helvetia Lavender Farm, and judged by an independent team of professionals. To view the winning photographs, or to enter, visit the Photo Contest website. View a gallery of all the gorgeous photos submitted at our Photo Contest Gallery.
The award-winning photos from our photo contest are used to create posters and other promotional materials. This year's festival poster uses a photograph of a bicycle at Mountainside Lavender taken by Thomas Armeli. You are welcome to download your own free copy by clicking on the poster.
